Shaping the future of trust in web3
Building authentic, bot-free Web3 communities through verified identity and active participation.
As Head of Design for the Anima project, my team and I were pivotal in architecting the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for an on-chain reputation system. Our responsibilities encompassed leading the UX strategy, overseeing the design of core functionalities like Proof of Personhood (PoP) and Soul Bound Token minting, and defining the user journeys for Reputation NFT acquisition and management. We were instrumental in establishing the foundational elements of the system, shaping its visual and interactive identity from its inception.
The primary challenge was to translate the inherent complexity of a blockchain-based reputation system into a simple, intuitive, and engaging user experience. Our goal was to make it effortless for users to prove their uniqueness and engagement, while providing communities with a powerful tool to distinguish genuine members from bots and malicious actors—a critical issue for the integrity of airdrops, decentralized governance, and overall community health.
Delivering a new standard for on chain trust and authenticity
With the design team, we addressed the challenge of creating a safer and more equitable web3 environment. By making the process of identity verification and reputation-building accessible and rewarding, we significantly drove user adoption and engagement. The impact is evident in the ability of partner projects to conduct fairer airdrops, mitigate farming, and implement truly democratic governance.
Specific features, such as the Reputation NFT Leveling System, which incentivizes continuous engagement via PoP challenges, and the Active User Status mechanics, ensure that reputation remains a reliable indicator of authenticity. Ultimately, Anima, powered by user-centric design led by my team, empowers communities to thrive on trust and genuine participation, establishing a significant strategic advantage in a digital ecosystem striving for transparency.
