Building the digital ecosystem for solar energy adoption
Laying the design foundation for Ensol's customer journey and internal operations
As the first Product Designer at Ensol, my mission was to establish the foundational user experience across all their digital touchpoints. This involved creating the initial designs for their marketing website, a complex internal operations application, and the customer portal, ensuring a cohesive experience from the start. A key part of this was building Ensol's first Design System, based on Mantine UI, to ensure consistency and scalability.
The core challenge was to bridge the gap between complex field operations (solar panel installation logistics, multi-team communication, installer coordination) and a seamless, intuitive digital experience for both potential customers and internal teams. The goal was to simplify solar energy adoption while improving operational efficiency.
Building Ensol's competitive edge through foundational design
By addressing the distinct needs of prospects, operational teams, and end-customers through strategically designed digital touchpoints (website simulator, internal tools, client portal, printed booklets), this foundational work provided Ensol with more than just interfaces. It established a cohesive, user-centric digital ecosystem.
Grounded in a scalable Mantine Design System, this integrated approach was crucial for streamlining complex processes, improving communication from work fields (chantiers) to office, and ultimately empowering Ensol to operate efficiently and engage customers effectively in a competitive market.
