Scaling identity verification for growing crypto and fintech companies

As Head of Design at Synaps, I led the design direction for a growing B2B company serving crypto exchanges and fintech startups who needed reliable KYC, KYB, and AML verification. These companies required tools that could handle global fraud detection and meet local regulations while processing thousands of user verifications daily. The challenge was building verification workflows that were both thorough enough for regulatory compliance and fast enough for user onboarding.

Making compliance simple for users worldwide

We established and scaled design systems for an intuitive compliance platform during rapid company growth. Our team built a smart verification process, verifier tools, customer dashboard to improve fraud detection, reduce risk management, and adapt to global regulations. These design foundations maintained consistent experiences while supporting rapid expansion, enabling ISO 27001 certification and international scaling.
